Sr Engineering Manager

Sr Engineering Manager :

Requirements:

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or related Engineering field preferred.
• 8 to 10+ years of experience in developing applications using Java, SQL/NoSQL, Cloud Native development with 2+ years of experience leading end-to-end engineering teams building scalable platforms and architectures.
• Complete understanding of development and deployment systems, production architectures and devops best practices
• Passion for building data driven culture, growing talent, and hunger for making big impact.
• Strong interest and curiosity in leveraging the latest in tech to solve customer problems.
• Experience in communicating with end users, technical & business teams to collect requirements, describe product features, and technical designs.
• Ability to seek clarity in ambiguous situations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge and ability to follow SDLC as well as Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Drive high-level architectural decisions and designs based on business priorities and requirement and actively contribute by being hands-on.
• Manage product development on a stack involving Java, Python, JavaScript, cloud native distributed systems.
• Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end.
• Constant focus on engineering best practices and operational excellence.
• Work very closely with Product, Program managers and various business stakeholders to drive the execution of multiple business plans and technologies.
• Retain, hire, and groom the talent. Provide growth opportunities to the individuals.
• Draft quarterly OKRs and Engineering KPIs
• Improve product quality, security, and performance.
• Should be good in Estimation.
• Should be able to define quality metrics/guidelines.-

Skills:

• Java, Angular/React & front end frameworks
• Webservices, Spring, Spring Boot (MVC/JDBC/Security), ORM
• Sound RDBMS skills on SQL/Oracle. Exposure to No SQL is a plus
• Exposure to caching solutions / framework & strategies
• Exposure to AWS Services and experience in cloud native implementation.
• Experience of Microservice based architecture is a plus.
• Understanding of CI/CD, its approach & design.
• Must be able to define appropriate branching strategy.
• Integration: Integrate gateways and APIs into our systems, ensuring seamless and secure transactions.
