About the Role

The primary responsibility is to collect, structure and monitor the stakeholder requirements during the complete lifecycle processes. This position will ensure data maintenance in the Requirements Management tools, and will measure and report the process performance based on defined KPIs. This position will be the bridge between the customer and internal engineering teams for process and structure of requirements.

This position will report to requirement department head as organization perspective.


What You Will Do

  • Customer Interface
    • Ensure availability of customer requirements specifications
    • Ensure availability of referenced documents (GCSR, ISOs, Norms, Standards,...) and handling.
  • Requirement Management
    • Ensure availability of customer requirement specifications for all project stakeholders in defined requirements tool
    • Distribute customer requirement to project stakeholders (e.g. Functional Owner, Project Manager) for analysis and derivation of system requirement.
    • Exchange official evaluation result (DOORS / DNG) to the customer
    • Ensure data maintenance in the Requirements Management tools
    • Create the requirements specification baselines
  • Tracking and Monitoring
    • Measure and report the process performance based on defined KPIs
    • Track and report missing analysis information
    • Track and report completeness of traceability/linking
  • Change Management
    • Change Request support regarding requirements according to tailored CR process
    • Request technical analysis and estimated effort of requirements from Engineering Team
    • Verify quotation from requirement/system perspective.

What You Need

  • Expert knowledge of requirements management
  • Good knowledge of embedded software and system
  • Excellent knowledge of RFI/RFQ process
  • Knowledge of Requirements Management Tool “Doors Next Generation”, “DOORS”, and Doors exchange mechanism
  • Configuration management rules and tools especially baselining
  • Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®)
  • Strong knowledge on SW and HW architectures and Mobile Wireless Technology (DSPs, ARM, Memories, Multicore processing, WiFi, 5G, 4G/LTE, 3G, CDMA, 2G, Bluetooth) and/or Infotainment Technology (Navigation system, Digital TV, ETC system, Drive recorder, Mirroring, rear seat entertainment).
  • Ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts and ideas persuasively and concisely to all levels of the business.
  • Fluent communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Experience working with or for a Japanese automotive supplier / carmaker
