Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer II, Process Testing is a key technical leader responsible for overseeing and optimizing testing processes within solar panel manufacturing operations. This role ensures the highest levels of product quality and reliability by developing robust testing methodologies, analyzing performance data, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Testing Process Development:
Design, implement, and validate advanced testing procedures for solar panel performance, reliability, and durability.
Ensure all testing processes comply with industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL) and internal quality protocols.
Identify opportunities to enhance testing efficiency through automation and process innovations.
Process Optimization:
Analyze test data to identify trends, detect defects, and implement corrective actions.
Develop strategies to improve test coverage, reduce cycle times, and enhance overall process reliability.
Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to optimize end-to-end production processes.
Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis:
Lead investigations into test failures and production issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive measures (CAPA).
Provide advanced technical support to resolve equipment and process-related challenges.
Leadership and Mentorship:
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Lead cross-departmental initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency.
Equipment Management:
Oversee the performance, calibration, and maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and minimal downtime.
Evaluate and recommend upgrades to testing systems in response to production and technological advancements.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Perform statistical analysis to monitor testing performance and drive data-driven decisions.
Prepare and present detailed reports on testing results, process improvements, and quality metrics to senior management.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure testing processes align with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma principles.
Support internal and external audits related to testing protocols and equipment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, or a related field).

Minimum 8 years of experience in process testing, preferably in solar panel or electronics manufacturing.
