This is a Sr Director level role where you will partner with BU (Business Unit) and /or Region leaders to formulate the development of business strategies, including business model innovation. You will develop and facilitate a robust yearly and multi-year business planning process. More specifically, this role contributes (through design and / or implementation) of strategic transformation projects (including adjustments to organization, processes and systems) mostly focused on Europe, but also wider in some cases. Depending on the size of the project and the strategic nature, the incumbent's responsibilities range from project implementation to in-depth design, including full project management and appropriate resource allocation. Depending on the project, a temporary team of varying size and functions will be established reporting to this senior leader.
How you will contribute
1. BU project portfolio management & leadership of some multi country projects:
- Translate projects across all functions into operational and social plans in each country of implementation, in cooperation with country general managers, HR and cross functional teams
- Identify potential interdependencies between projects and assess risks / opportunities and priorities as relevant
- Ensuring the best social and commercial timing for business success
- Develop and implement against agreed project business case / success factors and within project governance requirements
2. BU business transformation:
- With the President/ Lead of BU (& their team) contribute to the strategic thinking and development of the long-term vision/ambition for the BU (building a strategic plan / aligning to Mdlz business vision "Vision 2030").
- Provide input in areas of: Analyst Reports, Economic Updates, White Papers, Customer Insights from trend forecasting, business intelligence, competitive benchmarking, industry partnerships
- Provide input and independent perspective on all current and prospective opportunities to evaluate options and deliver specific recommendations for action. Core focus is on cluster portfolio and participation development.
- Maintain ongoing understanding of emerging market and category trends, competition trends, and emerging macro environment with specific focus on critical "invest" areas and categories.
This role reports to the VP Strategy & Transformation EU and is a member of the extended leadership team of UK&I, France and DACH business unit, working closely with President / SVP & MD of BU & the cross functional BU team.
What you will bring
A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
- 17yrs+ of professional experience working in a multinational organization
- Excellent program management skills with experience leading and delivering large projects in multiple regions/markets
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive effective discussions with project resources from tactical execution level up to steering committee members
- Deep knowledge of relevant business processes and related technology solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to positively influence decision making
- Focus on cost-effective innovation in program delivery
- Proven ability in building effective teams across internal and external partners
