Job Summary:
The Digital Product Design Manager is responsible for the vision and design strategy for Polaris digital products, including in-vehicle infotainment displays, the Polaris, Indian Motorcycle, and Slingshot mobile apps, and the RIDE COMMAND website as well as connected features across these platforms. They will manage a passionate team of designers in ideation, research, design, and definition of the customer experience for digital products.
Job Responsibilities:

Oversee the design of Polaris digital products from concept to launch. Think strategically, framing design within the customer experience of powersports, and drive execution.

Partner with design, product, engineering leadership to define digital product vision. Articulate design strategy and the value of design, ensuring buy-in at all levels of the organization.

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the products meet technical feasibility and design excellence.

Manage design team backlog, workload, and priorities

Conduct competitive, customer, and user research and gather feedback to inform design decisions

Set design standards and guidelines for digital products. Ensure design consistency and quality across digital products

Manage, mentor and coach a team of designers. Run team design reviews.

Attract and develop top design talent

Refine the teams design process with best tools, etc.

Understand Polaris customers & products
Qualifications & Skills:
-
10+ years of experience in digital product design with at least 5 years of leadership experience with direct reports, including hiring and developing talent

Experience with digital product design for the automotive industry and embedded software/hardware products

Experience leading consumer-facing product design for native iOS and Android apps
-
A portfolio of your product design work is required when applying

The pay range for Minnesota is $160,000 to $200,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
