As a Sr. Database Engineer II, you’ll assess the impact of changes to data structures and data processing, and lead database and data engineering tasks in support of system changes.

What you’ll do:
- Plan, design, develop, and manage an organization's databases to ensure efficient data storage, access, and security.
- Collaborate with users to design, code, test, debug, and deploy databases that meet requirements and organizational needs.
- Write queries, stored procedures and functions for database development.
- Monitor databases' performance, scalability, and security and modifies procedures to optimize database designs.
- Evaluate existing database design to determine necessary updates, performance tuning, and integration requirements.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of database technologies and solid coding and computer system skills.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- 7+ years experience of various database systems, such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and NoSQL.
- A bachelor's degree
- An Active DoD Secret clearance.
- A current IAT Level I certification like CCNA-Security, CND, or Network+ CE
- Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Proficiency in database administration tasks, such as installation, configuration, backup and recovery, security management, and user management.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques, including ETL processes, dimensional modeling, and data marts.
- Experience with cloud-based database services offered by major cloud providers (OCI, AWS, Azure).
