What you’ll do:

  • Analyze and preprocess network data to ensure it is suitable for modeling and simulation.
  • Develop and optimize machine learning models to identify patterns, predict outcomes, and enhance network operations.
  • Conduct simulations to evaluate the performance of proposed solutions in various network scenarios.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate models into operational systems.
  • Document and present findings to stakeholders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends in data science, machine learning, and network optimization to incorporate cutting-edge techniques.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to data integration, modeling, or simulation.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • An active DoD Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a focus on model development and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis, modeling, and simulation.
  • Experience working with network data sources
  • Strong proficiency in Python and associated data science libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, MLFlow).
  • Experience with simulation tools and techniques to model and analyze network systems.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, statistical analysis, and algorithm design.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to visualize complex data and present results clearly using tools such as Matplotlib and panel
  • Strong familiarity with data and visualization tools such as Elasticsearch and Grafana
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
