Sr. DAS Network Performance Engineer
About the role
Passionate about DAS Network Performance Optimization? Your next role will play a crucial role in optimizing our Distributed Antenna System for a variety of clients on the West Coast. You will work on enterprise-level clients including buildings, stadiums, and indoor/outdoor spaces. Based in our new Oakland office you will be responsible for the performance of our clients connectivity.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Operations Organization, you’ll help to ensure our structured cabling infrastructure standards are met. At all levels, colleagues will rely on your expertise to architect cabling design plans with adherence to national technical and fire code standards. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:
- Assuming full ownership of the technical applications and integrations of DAS networks into Carrier and Boldyn networks in the Greater Bay area.
- Provide on-site and remote support for engineering activities including, commissioning, integration, data collection, and optimization.
- Define the technical scope of work, source vendors, and coordinate with Internal and external teams to facilitate schedules and logistics around commissioning, integration, optimization, and project closeout.
- Analyze passive test results from coaxial sweeps, PIM, OTDR, and other tests related to wireless network commissioning and carrier integration.
- Review and audit DAS commissioning, integration, and optimization data from internal and external sources.
- Effectively communicate project status, risks, and required resolutions regularly.
- Apply analytical skills and extensive experience to improve internal processes and internal and external engineering knowledge.
- Travel as needed to support assigned projects.
- Support incident management and resolution as needed to maintain peak network uptime.

- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of five (5+) years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry
- Four or more years of DAS/Wireless Experience with two of them being technical field experience
- Ibwave Level 1 Certification – Level 2 Preferred
- Self-sufficient in DAS processes and procedures (DAS project workflow, Stakeholders, Commissioning, Infrastructure testing, Integration, Optimization, Acceptance Testing).
- Expert-level knowledge in one or more of the following categories: Passive infrastructure testing, Data Collection and Post-processing, LTE/NR air interface, Wireless technology systems integration
- Detailed understanding of passive transmission line testing methods and requirements
- Demonstrated understanding of common DAS infrastructure problems including, but not limited to, PIM; VSWR; Return Loss
- Extensive experience with the SOLiD Alliance DAS Platform
