Job Summary

The Sr. Insights Manager is responsible for overseeing and analyzing market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive intelligence within the categories Black Rifle Coffee Company competes. This role involves leveraging category data and shopper insights to develop strategies that enhance product positioning, optimize assortment, and drive revenue growth. The position plays an integral part in developing strategic planning and execution initiatives that elevate the company’s influence with our customers; proactively identifies category trends and opportunities and develops category growth strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Market Analysis:

  • Leads the collection of market data, including consumer trends, competitive intelligence, and industry insights.
  • Conducts in-depth market research and analysis to identify category trends, opportunities, and threats.
  • Monitors competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market positioning.
  • Assesses the size and growth potential of the category and subcategories.

Consumer Insights & Reporting:

  • Analyzes consumer behavior, preferences, and demographics within the category.
  • Utilizes consumer surveys, focus groups, and other research methods to gather insights.
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and presentations for key stakeholders.
  • Clearly communicates findings, trends, and recommendations in a compelling manner.

Assortment & Promotion Strategy:

  • Identifies gaps and opportunities in the category portfolio.
  • Recommends product launches, discontinuations, or improvements based on insights.
  • Collaborates with marketing and sales teams to develop effective merchandising and promotional strategies.
  • Analyzes the impact of promotions and merchandising efforts on category performance.

Education and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a relevant field
  • 6+ years of experience in market research, data analysis, and insights generation with CPG company
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of syndicated data (Circana or Nielsen).
  • Expertise in analyzing and leveraging panel data to drive insights and inform strategy. 
  • A collaborative, engaging, and goal-oriented work style that fosters creativity while maintaining high standards and levels of accountability.
  • Ability to work across and relate to all levels of an organization internally to enhance the overall success of the company strategy and providing thought leadership.
