JOB SUMMARY:
Polaris Industries, Inc. is looking for an Angular developer to work on new applications for our Dealer area. Developer would be working on an agile team developing new Angular applications. Candidates need to have strong communication skills and to be able to work independently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, code, test, and debug high-quality web applications using Angular.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project owners, designers, and other developers, to define and implement application features.
- Develop and maintain reusable, efficient, and scalable code.
- Develop applications in an object-oriented environment using application development technologies including Angular, Angular Material, Typescript, SASS, RxJS.
- Support, maintain and administer deployed solutions.
- Must be able to build Angular applications from the ground up, meaning this is not maintenance of applications. This is building Angular applications based on best practices and being the key driver of what those best practices are.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Implement best practices for front-end development, including code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Mentor and support junior developers, providing guidance and knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our applications remain current and competitive.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Minimum Qualifications:
- 9+ years’ experience in web application design and development
- 6+ years’ experience with Angular (v13 or above, we are using v18, moving to v19)
- Need to be an Angular expert
- Must be able to architect Angular solutions from the ground up
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and SASS and CSS
- Experience with Angular Material, RxJS, and Angular Signals
- Experience authoring node packages and libraries.
- Experience creating and maintaining documentation (JSdocs)
- Experience with performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading and code splitting
- Experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, or Playwright
- Strong understanding of responsive UI development
- Experience with cross-browser compatibility and debugging
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services
- Proficiency in Angular CLI and tools like Angular DevTools for debugging
- Proficiency in git commands and git version control systems (Github)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a deadline-driven, demanding environment
- Ability to work as part of a highly cohesive and collaborative team
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Storybook for UI component development
- Familiarity with Monorepo tools such as Nx
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Azure
- Full Stack development experience, particularly with .NET and C#
- Experience with databases, developing against SQL Server, Azure SQL, Cosmos
- Understanding of behavioral, structural, and creational design patterns
