Gap Inc.’s headquarters Finance team provides financial reporting and analytics support to various business units and the Executive Leadership teams.
The Senior Analyst - Business Intelligence Finance, is responsible for building, analyzing, enhancing, and supporting best in class, business focused reporting and analytics. The teams are responsible for leading several key financial performance management activities for Gap Inc., including the annual budget / operating plan, long-range plan, and monthly forecast. Using these activities as a foundation, they provide the executive leaders and other relevant stakeholders with forward-looking financial projections, performance perspective, and foundations for optimal decision-making.What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain Freeform reports within Oracle EPM Suite, leveraging Oracle EPM tools such as Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS), Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS), and other related modules.

Prepare monthly financial reports for Gap Inc.'s management and ensure reports are accurate and distributed in a timely manner.

Develop complex queries and reports using Oracle Essbase, Smart View, and other EPM tools to deliver meaningful insights and support business decision-making

Collaborate with data teams to integrate data from various source systems into Oracle EPM applications, ensuring seamless data flow for reporting.

Deliver financials for the company, whether related to financial close, internal, or external reporting, or analysis for key stakeholders in Finance

Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Oracle EPM dashboards and reports including freeform, EPM automate, Narrative reporting and data integration.

The Oracle EPM Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in applying finance, accounting principles, and developing dashboards using best practices for visualizations and data security.

Collaborate with Business Analysts to gather business requirements for Analytics and Reporting

Design, configure and test systems functionality changes, such as but not limited to creating flex fields, modifying fast formulas, building elements and table setup

Stay up to date with advancements in Oracle EPM, Power BI and related technologies, recommending and implementing new features and functionalities to enhance data analytics capabilities

Exposure to configure, maintain and optimize calculation rules, metadata hierarchies, mappings, and reports in Oracle EPM cloud environment

Leveraging Oracle Narrative Reporting platform and partnering with the Controllership, use best practices to lead the automation of financial report generation and distribution.

Provide technical guidance, training, and support to the finance team on Oracle EPM usage, troubleshooting, and optimization

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and data security protocols in financial reporting automation efforts.

Assist in preparation of presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made

Deliver accurate financial results, including comprehensive analysis of key expenses during the budget, forecast and close processes

Identify and research variances to forecast, budget and prior year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with others on a solution

Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross functional teams at all levels of the organization
Who You Are
-
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Oracle EPM Reporting, with a focus on Freeform Reporting in Oracle PBCS, FCCS, or similar Oracle EPM tools.

Candidate should have 3 to 5 years' experience in the Finance domain implementing SQL integrations for Oracle EPM Applications such as Narrative reporting, financial reporting studio, SmartView and Essbase

Developer with understanding of one or more of the Oracle EPM Cloud Suite modules – Narrative Reporting, Freeform, FCCS, EDM, EPM, freeform and willing to learn and venture into any new modules

Knowledge of EPM system architecture, including metadata, data integration, and security.

Experience working with Essbase, planning modules, and data validation.

Expertise in Oracle EPM Freeform reports, Smart View, and Essbase.

Proficiency in writing MDX queries, SQL, and experience with EPM Data Management and integration.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes.

Basic understanding of the financial consolidation and budgeting processes.
