Description:
Manages, Develops, Evaluates, and Implements new Testing processes and procedures to improve Product Quality, Cost, Performance, and Reliability, ensuring compliance with Specifications. Acts as a liaison between Engineering and Production for the development and implementation of Tests and provides necessary Support.
Responsibilities:
- Apply prescriptive methodology to projects and processes
- Work as a team with all support departments during implementation or innovation in the testing process
- Work proactively on test capacity analysis to prevent impacting OTTR (On Time Test Readiness)
- Manage the calibration control and preventive maintenance plan for test equipment or implement corrective actions when required
- Work with the tools department to maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts to reduce downtime on the production line
- Monitor FPY (First Pass Yield) to reduce the percentage of NFF (No Fault Found) and alert the area or operation being impacted
- Manage and participate in NPI (New Product Introduction) executions
- Perform GR&R (Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility), AAA, and Cpk analysis to ensure acceptable test performance
- Work on continuous improvement ideas to reduce test time, test stations, and testing processes
- Train technicians and operators to use test equipment
- Generate test procedures and troubleshoot test equipment
- Extensive knowledge of test equipment such as Teradyne, Zentel, Spectrum
- Broad knowledge of National Instruments hardware and software
- Support in the creation, execution, and automation of validation tests for various products developed by the company
- Analyze and execute test sequences
- Develop necessary tools and software for test automation
- Develop, evaluate, and implement fixtures and software to automate existing product testing and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field (mandatory); Master’s degree (desired)
- Advanced proficiency in the English language
- 3 to 5 years of experience as a Test Engineer in the Electronics industry
- Advanced knowledge of LabWindows/CVI, LabView, and TestStand
- Advanced knowledge of National Instruments hardware and software
- Knowledge of the implementation and development of test equipment that minimizes the possibility of non-conforming products, meets customer requirements, and applicable regulations
- Creation of test sequences
- Methods and tools for data acquisition
- Ability to identify areas of opportunity and promote actions that contribute to continuous improvement in test equipment
- Six Sigma certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Lean Manufacturing
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills
