 Looking for a 8 Years experDatabase Engineer.

Requirements.

SQL Server Development (Expert)

• Designing and optimizing complex T-SQL queries for performance and scalability.
• Developing, deploying, and maintaining stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions.
• Implementing best practices for database security, indexing, and data integrity.
• Troubleshooting and resolving performance bottlenecks and query optimization issues.

SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) (Expert)

• Designing and developing robust SSIS packages for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Managing data integration workflows, including data extraction from various sources, transformation logic, and loading into target systems.
• Implementing error handling, logging, and performance tuning within SSIS packages.
• Automating and scheduling SSIS package executions using SQL Server Agent or other scheduling tools.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for Database Deployments (Intermediate)

• Automating database deployment processes using Sqlpackage.exe and DACPACs to ensure consistent and repeatable deployments.
• Integrating database deployment steps into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, etc. (We use Circle CI and Octopus Deploy)
• Managing version control for database schema changes and ensuring smooth transitions between development, testing, and production environments.

PostgreSQL (Nice to Have)

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, querying, and administration.
• Understanding of PostgreSQL-specific features such as advanced indexing, stored procedures, and extensions.
• Ability to work with PostgreSQL in a development or production environment, contributing to cross-platform database projects.
