Specialty Solutions Engineer, RedHat Specialist


As a Pre-Sales Engineer specializing in Red Hat technologies and cloud platforms, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward. You will leverage your deep understanding of Red Hat's licensing and subscription models, combined with your experience in AWS and/or Azure, to provide strategic guidance to clients. Your expertise in OpenShift, Ansible, RHEL, and cloud services will be crucial in designing and proposing solutions that meet our customers' technical and business needs. 

Responsibilities

  • Technical Expertise: 
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Red Hat technologies, including OpenShift, Ansible, and RHEL. 
  • Provide insights into Red Hat's licensing and subscription models to advise clients effectively. 
  • Utilize experience with AWS and/or Azure to design and implement cloud-based solutions. 
  • Design and implement solutions that integrate Red Hat technologies with AWS and/or Azure services. 
  • Advise clients on best practices for deploying and managing applications in cloud environments. 

  • Pre-Sales Support: 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer needs and propose appropriate solutions. 
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations to showcase the value of Red Hat technologies. 

  • Customer Engagement: 
  • Engage in meaningful interactions with customers to understand their challenges and objectives. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. 

  • Solution Design: 
  • Participate in projects involving the deployment and management of RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible in production environments. 
  • Develop customized solutions that align with customer technical requirements and business goals. 

  • Collaboration: 
  • Work closely with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and support, to ensure seamless delivery of services. 
  • Provide feedback to product management teams based on customer interactions and market trends. 

  • Continuous Learning: 
  • Stay updated on the latest developments in Red Hat technologies, AWS, Azure, and industry best practices. 
  • Obtain and maintain relevant Red Hat certifications. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in a pre-sales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting role. 
  • Deep understanding of Red Hat's licensing and subscription models. 
  • Hands-on experience with deploying and managing RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible in production environments. 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Proven ability to engage with customers and build lasting relationships. 
  • Relevant Red Hat certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift) are highly desirable. 
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
