Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Specialist Pricing and Portfolio Management. This role is pivotal in providing administrative and operational support, ensuring compliance and risk management, and driving key initiatives in pricing and portfolio management.
Job Description
Administrative and Operations Support:
- Provide administrative and operational support in line with standard operating procedures.
- Assist customers and team members to ensure ongoing team performance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Adhere to relevant control and compliance requirements and quality standards.
Specialist Pricing:
- Support pricing function management initiatives.
- Advise and assist in the development and implementation of pricing activities.
- Aid in the pricing and structuring of loans across CIB and BB.
- Manage pricing inputs to determine pricing levels.
- Utilize data BI to support business decision-making.
- Develop models to aid portfolio management.
- Facilitate the optimization of value-aligned performance measures (e.g., Return on Risk Weighted Assets, Return on Economic Capital).
- Provide advisory services on business change implications to CIB - Business, Risk, and Finance.
- Analyze the impact of upcoming regulations on financial resources within CIB.
Portfolio Management:
- Monitor risk-adjusted performance metrics and financial resource usage.
- Build dashboards to automate the preparation of Management Information (MI).
- Run analytics using tools like Python and PowerBI.
- Source data and perform analysis to support business efficiency.
- Support financial resource optimization initiatives.
- Provide decision support that is business-enabling and solution-oriented.
- Challenge Front Office on maximizing returns on financial resources.
- Prepare Management Information for effective decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to financial resource policies and limits.
- Support action plans to close gaps identified in finance and strategic planning processes.
Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and manage relationships with internal and external information sources.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal role-players (e.g., Risk, Front Office, Finance, and Treasury).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and deliver within deadlines.
- Capacity to work well under pressure and absorb large volumes of information.
- Strong analytical abilities and understanding of complex, cross-functional work.
- Financial modelling and data analytics expertise, with a focus on automation.
- Knowledge of banking products and related financial issues.
- Ability to promote team spirit and culture.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum qualification: Quantitative or finance and accounting degrees (e.g., Applied Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Econometrics).
- Preferred qualification: Honors, Masters, CFA/FRM/CA(SA) or studying towards these qualifications.
- Preferred experience: Two to three years in quantitative, financial modelling, quantitative regulatory, and/or financial analysis.

Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
