OUR ROLE
Join our dynamic team as a Sourcing Operations Specialist and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth execution of sourcing strategies within Fiskars. As part of a high-impact team, you will manage sourcing processes, track savings, and monitor cash flow results, all while optimizing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies. Your keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills will allow you to support strategic sourcing managers and drive cost efficiency, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By collaborating with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will actively contribute to the success of our global sourcing strategy. This position is based in any of the locations Espoo, Finland/ Stockholm, Sweden/ Eschborn, Germany and reports to our Global Director Sourcing. The role is full-time and hybrid.
WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS
Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy Development: Create and execute global sourcing strategies for all packaging categories, analyze market trends, and develop multi-year sourcing plans aligned with business goals.

Supplier Management: Identify and onboard global/regional packaging suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain long-term supplier relationships, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.

Cost Optimization: Lead cost-saving initiatives, perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, and benchmark industry pricing to ensure competitive pricing.

Innovation and Sustainability: Drive packaging innovation and sustainability, focusing on recyclable materials, lightweighting, and reducing carbon footprint while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., packaging development, R&D, marketing) to align packaging requirements and support new product development projects.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure compliance with global packaging regulations.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Use analytics to guide sourcing decisions, monitor trends, predict pricing fluctuations, and implement sourcing technologies to improve sourcing efficiency.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders, resolving issues and ensuring smooth communication throughout the sourcing process.
WHO YOU ARE

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.

1+ years in a global sourcing environment, sourcing operation is a must.

Advanced understanding of packaging materials (plastics, paper, and sustainable alternatives), global packaging market, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to understand and discuss technical specifications and quality standards relevant to packaging.

Familiarity with sustainability standards and circular economy principles to drive eco-friendly solutions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to navigate and work effectively within a global, matrixed organization, aligning cross-functional teams towards common goals.

Knowledge of regional business practices and communication styles, with an understanding of how these influence global sourcing and decision-making.

Ability to understand and discuss technical specifications, quality standards, and other relevant aspects that impact sourcing and supply chain operations.
