THE HIGH LEVEL
As a member of Iron Bow Technologies supporting the Defense Information Systems Agency Hybrid Cloud team, the Solutions Architect will serve as the technical lead for the day-to-day responsibility for providing subject matter expertise and insight on systems engineering, virtualization as well as security technologies solutions supporting practice and sales initiatives. Emphasis on designing advanced large scalable DoD solutions involving the latest in Cloud and Security solutions leveraging Iron Bow partner technologies and service deliveries where required.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Serve as the Lead Technical expert for a Program with multiple Engineers reporting to them both native and subcontractors
- Ability to assign team members with verifiable and detailed tasks that culminate in moving engineering processes forward
- Interface with internal and external POCs on technical matters related to the Program
- Writing and Editing of detailed Engineering Deliverables in support of Program Deliverables
- Reviewing current customer environment to ensure delivery of new communications stacks are 100% interoperable and compliant with all DoD IT requirements
- Providing pre and post-sales lead architect support for all security and virtualization related engagements
- Actively research, evaluate and drive next-gen security technologies and solutions to solve customer needs
- Building and developing relationships with strategic partner community
- Manage solution development and deployment adhering to best practices and meeting customer expectations
- Lead project initiatives from small to large complex security solutions
- Tackle critical customer escalations as the PoC for presales and post-sales
- Assist with RFQs, RFPs and BOMs when needed
- Assist with both high-level and low-level design documentations and drawings
- Develop and deliver technical proposals, LOEs, whitepapers and slide presentations
- Effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Responsible for enablement of sales, delivery team and Iron Bow partners as well as developing collateral as it relates to solutions and offerings we sell.
- Responsible for leading and mentoring other engineers outside direct reports who are focused on learning Cloud, Mobility and Cyber technologies and the development of their technical and soft skills.
- Present and evangelize solution/technology trends specific to each practice highlighting what these trends mean to each of the four Business Units
- Responsible for proactively engaging with Sales as well as answering, prioritizing and balancing requests for support.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, electrical engineering, information technology, or equivalent technology required
- Minimum of 10 - 15 years of focused engineer/consultant experience on security technologies and solutions within a DISA environment
- Familiarity with the current DISA customer set to include the 4th estate and how they are supported within the existing DISA Enterprise environment at multi-classification levels.
- 10+ years of IT/cyber security related consulting experience
- 10+ years of hands on experience with Cisco network design and implementation
- Minimum Secret security clearance
- Ability to architect advanced network and solutions at multiple levels of the enterprise including virtualized environments.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud architectures, public cloud deployment and operations, technical and security architecture, virtualization, workload assessments, technical solution architecture, Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Knowledge of hyper-converged infrastructure, virtualization (e.g., VMware) and storage/backup technologies
- Experience with the design and implementation or operation of Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager and Office 365
- Experience with diagraming tools such as Visio for demonstrating engineering designs
- Experience with cloud-based application programming interfaces or disaster Linux, VMware, and Active Directory experience is highly desired
- Strong knowledge of web security models, mechanisms, and technologies
- Ability to thrive in a self-directed, fast-paced environment, that is highly collaborative and multi-functional
- Deep understanding of the latest technologies, security issues, and protocols
- Strong background consulting and selling to Federal and Commercial customers, experience with DISA highly preferred
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Master/Professional certifications are highly desired: CCIE Security, CISSP, SANS GSEC
- Associate Cloud Solutions Architect certification desired
- MCITP/MCSE or SCCM Certification desired
- Must be eligible to maintain Top Secret security clearance if required
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position has a strong preference for candidates based in Montgomery or Huntsville, AL area and will require 25% travel.
