About the team
The Professional Services Team ANZ provides support, guidance and consultancy services to our customers throughout their engagement and customer life cycle with GBG. We provide technical and functional support, consultancy and advisory services for several products and services, including identity verification, location intelligence, fraud management and project management. We work directly with our customers to ensure their requirements are met and that they can consume the GBG product(s) they've purchased within the shortest possible timeframe.
The role
Reporting to the Lead Solution Consultant for ID Verification and Biometrics, the role of the Solution Consultant is to serve as the subject matter expert for GBG’s Identity Verification and Biometric solutions in the Australia and New Zealand market. In this capacity, you will be acting as the advisor to our client’s business, operational and technical teams as well as our internal teams. You will be the product and technology champion and provide domain thought leadership and lead best practice discussions in the context of GBG solutions and capabilities. You will have responsibility for driving successful business outcomes and joint discussions to support the continuous adoption of GBG solutions by our customers and support the implementation and delivery of our biometrics solutions for customers
What you will do
- Confidently demonstrate identity verification and biometrics solutions to audiences where these audiences may contain a wide range of stakeholders e.g., Technical, Business, Operations, including C-Level stakeholders
- Partner with sales team to become the trusted advisor to prospective clients and existing clients by providing consultation to drive their business strategies and meet their goals, and provide all the required support to the sales team
- Support the integration of our biometrics solution for our clients, drive the end-to end sales cycle until delivery and post-delivery, before handing over to support teams
- Clearly articulate to potential and existing clients how GBG solutions can effectively work in tandem to deliver maximum efficiencies and profits while minimizing costs by deliver compelling presentations and demos
- Facilitate client workshops to gathering and validate requirements and guide the customer on the high-level solution design. This will involve working alongside our project, technical and professional services teams
- Provide input to RFPs & RFIs and manage POCs to meet customer requirements. Collaborate with professional services teams to support and guidance during the delivery phases
- Collaborate with product teams in designing product propositions by market segments or verticals, capture customer feedback and provide input to the product roadmap
- Other duties as guided by your manager
- Background in Information Technology, Information Systems or other relevant disciplines.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar consulting role, technical account management or integration role that involved interactive customer discussions and C-level stakeholder management to support complex solution discussions around the customer’s requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in the integration or implementation of software solutions supporting the end-to-end sales cycle until delivery and handing over to support teams
- Prior experience in running solution design and requirements gathering workshops, delivering impactful presentations, configuring demo environments, and understanding product development principles
- Knowledge and understanding of SOAP and REST APIs, HTML/ JavaScript, Web Services, exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk
- Experience in identity verification, biometrics, compliance and fraud risk management, AML/ KYC process would be a definite advantage
- Willing to adapt to changing priorities, and accommodate urgent tasks
- Solid communication skills with a proactive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn
- Creative approach to problem solving whilst working with a team and/or customer
- Analytical competency advantageous and the path to growth more in the role
- Demonstrate an understanding of modern multi-tier application architectures.
- General knowledge of Microsoft Technologies and solutions
- Sales and commercial mindset with an active can-do attitude to winning new business
- Ability to select and use appropriate tools for the job and perform technical research as required to supplement and support Professional Services framework in delivering working product to clients.
- Ability to identify key issues, analyse data, and make recommendations to address problems.
- Ideally will have banking/financial institution experience, AML / KYC
