The Opportunity
As a Solution Architect in Digital Enablement & Customer Communication Technology org, you will be responsible for technical solutions spanning billing & collections systems, customer communication systems, new and existing mobile apps and electronics forms.
The Team
You will work with the head of DE&CCT org supporting her in defining the technical strategy of the systems in the org. You will be working with the enterprise architects, delivery leads, and tech leads in the org to define the technology landscape which is highly impactful to the entire MassMutual.
The Impact
- Enable teams to implement quality solutions through operational and engineering excellence.
- Effectively splits time between coaching & mentoring of senior developers, design/solution architecture, and hands-on coding needed for any proof of concepts
- Own architecture and solution roadmap and provide technical leadership to multiple engineering teams including adherence to the solution architecture.
- Solution and Architect emerging mobile apps, electronic forms web apps, billing & collection modernization efforts and ccm systems
- Leverage latest mobile & web architecture patterns in a secure cloud environment
- Proactively assess the current state of technology and identify gaps & overlaps; recommend technology investment & rationalization; and conduct technology assessment & selection.
- Partner with Development Teams to translate architecture to design/code-level execution.
- Work in a team-based environment including a global workforce, vendors, and third-party contractors.
- Take direction from the head of DE&CCT Org while communicating issues and driving toward resolution
- Provide estimates and help to envision creative solutions to technical challenges
- Drive toward the effective utilization of the latest technologies, partnering with business stakeholders across the team, as well as experts in other areas including data science to achieve these goals.
- Learn and master new and emerging technologies and take initiative to offer technical direction and creative solutions.
The Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
- 8+ years of experience in developing using variety of frameworks including web technologies and mobile technologies
- 2+ years of experience in working with cloud and CI/CD pipelines
- 2+ years of experience with REST API for data interchange and API-driven systems integration decoupling digital and backend systems.
- 1+ year of experience in one of the modern web application stacks such as MEAN, MERN
- 1+ year of experience in one of the leading programming languages such as Java, C#
- 1+ year of experience in Public Cloud platforms (preferably AWS), solution design and development using Cloud-native services, and understanding of cost rationalization.
The Ideal Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience within financial services industry
- Strong CI/CD Knowledge with tools such as Jenkins, AppCenter, DevOps and Fastlane to deliver continuous quality
- Experience and understanding of security patterns and practices
- Significant experience in mobile and web application development including a deep understanding of how to architect reusable frameworks and solutions
- Expertise in the latest technologies and architecture patterns including Clean Architecture, MVVM, SOLID and DRY principles
- Passion for following the technical landscape, architectures, trends, and new technologies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to collaborate in an agile team environment with engineers, product owners, testers, business analysts and groups outside of the team.
- Ability to lead by example and help guide and educate other leaders on the team
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Be a motivated self-starter who is passionate about learning new domains and improving the systems in the org

Salary Range: $144,800.00-$190,000.00
