About The Role
As a Solution Architect in our brand new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a role in understanding business requirements and desired outcomes to design and implement transformative solutions. The role focuses on a detailed analysis of end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for re-design, re-engineering, and optimization to achieve operational excellence and drive measurable business value.
Collaboration with stakeholders is central to this role, ensuring that solutions are tailored to address specific business needs and align with long-term organizational goals. The Solutions Architect evaluates and implements cutting-edge technologies, such as ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor LN), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and integration tools, while leveraging methodologies like Lean Six Sigma to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
A strong understanding of manufacturing and finance processes is essential, enabling the architect to address critical pain points, optimize processes such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Record to Report, and drive innovation through automation and digital transformation.
By bridging business insights with technical expertise, the Solutions Architect plays a pivotal role in guiding organizations through impactful transformations that maximize productivity, scalability, and competitive advantage.
Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Business Process Analysis and Design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and desired outcomes
- Conduct in-depth assessments of end-to-end business processes, identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities
- Lead process re-design and re-engineering efforts to optimize workflows and enhance operational efficiency
- Develop comprehensive process documentation, including as-is and to-be process models, using tools like BPMN or Visio
- Solution Design and Architecture
- Design scalable, sustainable, and innovative solutions that address business needs and enable transformation
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, such as ERP platforms, RPA tools, and cloud-based solutions
- Ensure solutions integrate seamlessly with existing systems and align with enterprise architecture standards
- Leverage methodologies like Lean Six Sigma, Agile, and Design Thinking to deliver impactful solutions
- Technology Implementation and Oversight
- Collaborate with functional, technical and external vendors teams to oversee the implementation of solutions, ensuring alignment with the defined architecture
- Define integration strategies for connecting diverse systems and technologies
- Ensure quality assurance by validating solution design, conducting performance testing, and troubleshooting issues
- Monitor post-implementation performance to ensure solutions deliver intended outcomes and drive continuous improvement
- Stakeholder Collaboration and Communication
- Act as a key liaison between business and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle
- Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on best practices, technological advancements, and process improvement strategies
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support organizational change management
- Strategic Contributions
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to proactively identify opportunities for innovation
- Support the organization’s digital transformation journey by aligning technology with business strategy
- Drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, scalability, and agility in core business processes, especially within manufacturing and finance domains
In this role you will be collaborating with various stakeholders (internally with Global IT team, Business process owners, Subject Matter Experts, Key users; externally with other IT vendors) across the business including our Global functions teams in Netherlands & other parts of the world.
Our Regional Hub supports a hybrid working approach. You will be supporting markets in multiple time zones and some flexibility around working hours will be needed.
You will be joining a newly formed Shared Services Centre team, with opportunities to grow, within IT Solutions or wider Global IT team.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, with at least 3 – 5 years in solution architecture, business process analysis, or related roles
- Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise solutions, particularly in ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, D365 or Infor LN
- Significant experience with process re-design, re-engineering, and automation in manufacturing and finance domains
- Hands-on experience in driving digital transformation initiatives, including automation and cloud adoption
- Experience working in or with multinational corporations (MNCs) and managing global projects
- Background in manufacturing, including exposure to MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and SCM (Supply Chain Management) would be advantageous
- Knowledge of advanced technologies such as IoT, predictive analytics, or AI/ML in an enterprise setting would be advantageous
- Experience working on global ERP consolidation or similar large-scale transformation projects
- Core Technical Skills
- Business Process Expertise: In-depth understanding of key business processes such as Procure to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R), Plan to Delivery (P2D), and Acquire to Retire (A2R)
- ERP Platforms: Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Infor LN, or similar platforms
- Automation Tools: Proficiency in Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools like UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism
- Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud, and their integration with enterprise systems
- Integration Tools: Experience with middleware and integration platforms like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or Apache Kafka
- Process Design Tools: Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or ARIS
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Knowledge of data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView
- Business and Industry Knowledge
- Manufacturing Processes: Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows and systems, including MES and SCM
- Finance Domain Expertise: Strong grasp of financial processes, FP&A activities, and financial compliance requirements
- Digital Transformation: Experience in driving automation, innovation, and digitalization within business operations
- Methodologies and Frameworks
- Familiarity with frameworks like TOGAF, Zachman, or ITIL for enterprise architecture and service management
- Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma for process improvement
- Agile and Scrum methodologies for project management and solution delivery
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Strong ability to analyze complex processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation
- Logical and strategic thinker capable of designing innovative solutions to address business challenges
- Communication and Leadership Skills
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language
- Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and facilitating workshops to gather requirements and align on solutions
- Adept at presenting complex solutions to senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
Nice To Have
- Experience working within global multinational corporations (MNCs) and cross-cultural teams
- Familiarity with IoT solutions, predictive analytics, or AI/ML technologies in a manufacturing context
- Certification in relevant domains would be a plus (e.g., TOGAF, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or an ERP-specific certification like SAP Solution Architect)
Language
- Good written and spoken English & Mandarin Chinese are essential (needs to liaise with Greater China stakeholders) – Mandarin writing ability is advantageous however not mandatory
Qualification / Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related discipline is a plus
- Certification in relevant areas such as TOGAF (Enterprise Architecture), Lean Six Sigma, or ITIL is highly desirable
