Job Description:
Solution Engineers and Solution Architects are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems architecture for Hitachi Energy Network Manager. This role supports the technical and operational aspects required by customers and the proposal team.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Design infrastructure for SCADA/EMS/ADMS solutions, including servers, networks, and cybersecurity to meet business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors to obtain quotes and technical specifications for required solutions.
- Create and maintain system documentation for reference purposes.
- Manage updates to system architecture, including subcomponents and standalone products integrated into our systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams for software and hardware components, both at the system product and sub-component levels.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills while working within overall tender and project teams, and with customers and partners.
- Lead the design and technical solutions based on industry best practices, ensuring a high level of base solutions and re-use between projects.
- Technically oversee systems and products, ensuring alignment with all involved internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and follows industry standards and practices.
Required Competencies
- Educational Background: Degree in an Engineering domain.
- Experience: Proven working experience over several years in designing systems and technically managing them.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to align with team members and internal & external stakeholders, including vendors.
- Organization: Highly structured in terms of communication, documentation, and problem-solving.
- Leadership: Strong team player who leads technical discussions towards meaningful results.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
- Lifecycle Knowledge: Familiarity with the product, software, and hardware development lifecycle.
