Overview:
The IT Solutions concepting team is active throughout the world to deliver HLC (High Level Control software) solutions within Vanderlande. The High-Level Control software suites (VIBES for airports and PACE Sort for Parcel) contain software modules to support the logistic sorting and transport of materials. Due to the growth of Vanderlande we are currently looking for a Software Solution Architect to expand the team.
You will be a part of the team, that is responsible for the software system design, testing, and integration of complex baggage handling systems. As a Software Solution Architect, you will translate system requirements into specifications for our software solutions.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
As a Software Solution Architect, you will lead design of the software modules for specific customer projects. These projects have multidisciplinary aspects usually consisting out of mechanical, electromechanical, SCADA, Low Level Control, IT and High-Level Control. The main task of the architect is the High-Level Control part but also requires understanding and interfacing of the other aspects of the project. Typically, these projects have a duration of one to two years of specification, development and testing, commissioning.
Job profile

Translate system requirements into software design containing functional description, interface designs.

Work within the project team as the responsible person for the software system design. In other words, guarding the scope.

Support the project during deployment, testing and commissioning.
Sales support:

Advise on non-standard requirements, solutions during sales phase.

Verify, review concept, feasibility on software solutions, offered by sales.
Continuous improvement:

Participate in design discussions, tool clarifications and process improvements.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent

Minimum 3 years of experience in software system design

Experience in implementation of material handling systems or industrial controls systems

Knowledge of Industrial and business process automation

This position offers a competitive salary range of €4.600 to €6.100 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
