Your day at NTT DATA
The Software Quality Assurance / Testing Engineer is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for participating in every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards.
This role collaborates with various stakeholders in the development and execution of exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality.
What you'll be doing
Role Technical Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Software QA Automation Engineer.
- Demonstrated experience in Agile testing methodologies, including active participation in daily stand-ups and sprint story estimations
- Experience analysing requirements and creating test cases (functional, non-functional, integration and End to end test cases)
- Proficiency in Python programming language, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience.
- Proven track record of enhancing CI/CD pipeline integrations.
- Expertise in implementing comprehensive automation test strategies, monitoring results, and documenting defects effectively.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, No SQL databases (such as MongoDB), tools like POSTMAN for API testing, and REST API principles.

- Exceptional collaborative abilities coupled with analytical acumen.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with varying requirements.
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- ISTQB Foundation level Certification would be desirable
- Relevant certifications such as Leading SAFe would be advantageous.
Role Deliverables:
- Development and continuous enhancement of automation frameworks to support testing activities.
- Formulation and execution of comprehensive Automation Test Plans tailored to project needs.
- Creation of robust rerunnable automation scripts that ensure repeatability and efficiency.
- Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), development teams, and Quality Analysts to seamlessly integrate various test scripts (including sanity checks, system tests, regression suites, and integration tests).
- Management of Test Data setup processes to ensure accuracy during test execution.
- Diligent execution of automation scripts while ensuring alignment with CI/CD pipeline objectives.
