Join us as a Software Principal Engineer on our Dell PowerStore Software Engineering team in Bangalore.

What you will achieve

As a Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for participating in new feature design discussion, develop plans for test-driven development, design and develop automated tests, and setup/execute Jenkins pipeline.

You will:

·       Work as part of an Agile scrum team in a continuous integration and continuous development environment and contribute to the test architecture and scope of high-quality, complex systems and software/storage features.

·       Contribute significantly to test automation as part of feature delivery.

·       Conduct testing and automation for PowerStore Cluster Storage Management Software backend (a highly scalable microservices and Docker container-based system).

·       Collaborate with a diverse team of software engineers, and test engineers both within and across product teams to build the test environment utilized to validate the CI/CD environment

Essential Requirements

·       8+ years of experience in software development.

·       Well versed in Python and working in a Linux environment.

·       Working experience with REST APIs, Jenkins, Postgres, Java.

·       Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git 

·       Self-Learning abilities, critical thinking skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable Requirements

·       Experience working in a geo-distributed team using Agile

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent
