LearnUpon is looking for a Software Engineer in Test to join our team in Belgrade.

As a Software Engineer in Test in our Platform Engineering group, you will be responsible for delivering high quality UI and API automation, Security & Performance tests within one of our agile engineering teams along with working as an automation team on maintaining frameworks and tooling and bringing new ideas to the team.
You’ll be participating in the development of a scalable, best-in-class LMS and you’ll strengthen the great company culture that we have in LearnUpon.
What will I be doing?
- Develop and execute UI and API test automation scripts with the goal of shortening the software development lifecycle and increasing test coverage by automating regression testing
- Bake in a culture of quality and shifting test automation left within your engineering team
- Contribute to planning within your team by working with Engineers and Product to agree priorities, estimates and deliver fully tested scripts within agreed timelines
- Help identify acceptance criteria for features being worked on and determine priorities for test automation to balance operational efficiency with sufficient test coverage
- Help develop new features for our growing platform with quality built in by collaborating with engineering, product and design
- Where tests fail, investigate the root cause of the failure using tools such as DataDog and browser dev tools, and raise defects where appropriate
- Help us move towards a continuous delivery model by collaborating with our DevOps & tooling teams, suggesting areas of improvement around testing, pipelines, tooling and overall process
- Contribute to the Automation function within Platform Engineering by adhering to and suggesting improvements for coding standards and automation processes and tooling
- Actively improve the level of craftsmanship in our tooling and frameworks
What skills do I need?
- 2+ years of experience in test automation with experience in frameworks and languages such as RobotFramework, Playwright, Selenium, Python, JavaScript and Ruby
- Able to effectively communicate technical ideas and collaborate with both technical and non-technical peers
- Experience working in an Agile-focused environment
- Experience with UI and API test automation and best practices
- Good understanding of CICD and how test automation fits into this
- Experience using continuous integration systems like GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI
- Experience with test management, bug tracking and agile tools e.g. Jira, Test Rail, Confluence or other similar
- Experience working on multi tenant SaaS platforms with an understanding of application architecture of the products you previously worked on
- Excellent communication skills, team player

Not required but considered a plus
- Exposure to containerised development environments such as Docker or Kubernetes
- Previous experience using Python and Robot Framework specifically is an advantage
- Previous experience of eLearning technologies
- Previous experience with performance testing using tools such as Locust or JMeter is an advantage
