Overview:
Two Barrels is offering a Software Internship. This position is required to be in-office and is Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week, in our Spokane, WA office.
At Two Barrels, you will learn from a close-knit group of engineers who come from a diverse mix of backgrounds and experiences. We build out exciting new Ruby On Rails projects, as well as maintain and refactor older Rack-based projects built-in "plain old Ruby." We are constantly evolving, growing, and willing to try new technologies and techniques; as long as we meet the business's needs.
We are looking for self-starter individuals who have a basic understanding of the computer science field from their current time in school and want to learn more in a hands-on experience. Yes, we want you to be a self-starter, but you will have a team of mentors to guide you along the way. You will have the opportunity to participate in weekly stand-ups, work on a various projects, learn from several of our mentors, and experience different areas of the software team. Most of all the projects you will be working on will help our teams make a difference in our customers' lives.

Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
- Are at least a sophomore in college and majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.2.
- Have school or personal software-related projects you can share with us.
- Enjoy learning about software development methodologies and processes.
- Experience using one or more languages in school work, preferred: Ruby, Python, Javascript, etc.
- You bring some weird or quirky new aspect of living and humanity to our workforce.
- Will be available for all 8 weeks of the internship duration.
- Have an understanding of agile work environments.

Hybrid Workspace
Employees engage in a combination of remote and on-site work.
As a hybrid employer we have full-time remote employees and employees that live near our offices who have the option to work in-office or from home. There are just a few, select roles that specify and require some in-office time.
