Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits new engineers to the feature team
  • Maintains an onboarding plan for new hires
  • Provides continuous feedback to direct reports
  • Is available to handle messages for questions/concerns
  • Understands direct reports' career goals and career development plans
  • Encourages cross-team and interpersonal collaboration
  • Relays business initiatives and updates to the team
  • Contributes to code reviews
  • Works with the team and business to prioritize tech debt
  • Shares knowledge to improve technical understanding within the team and across the company

Responsibilities:

  • Advocates for internal engineers, influencing product strategy of internal infrastructure, frameworks, and libraries by working with cross-functional teams
  • Works with teams to ensure successful implementation of internal products (.Net, C-Sharp, React, and/or Maui/Blazor), and creates momentum and drives the success of the products
  • Improves and standardizes the developer experience for internal infrastructure stack, and educates developers on best practices for creating applications
  • Provides support for partners and developers, and help partners design integrations, fixes bugs, improves UX, and solves problems at scale
  • Works on the core source code of products and infrastructure, reproduces, and/or fixes issues that are affecting our users
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of IT management experience in development
  • 3 years of experience managing technology teams of 4 or more with strong technical and credible leadership. Preferred hands-on management style.
  • Experience with Node.js and NPM for development tooling
  • Experience with modern frameworks
  • Experience with test frameworks
  • Intense exposure to collaborative engineering methodologies: agile, code reviews, continuous integration, cloud deployments, etc.
  • Experience working in a continuous delivery environment.
  • Strong test automation experience.
