The challenge

We are on a mission to redefine and standardize the Content and Collaboration Platform at Adobe. We are building a coordinated set of cloud services that will enable powerful collaborative user experiences among our products, users, and partners. These platform services are generic, but tailored to be an outstanding addition to many kinds of desktop, mobile, and web-based products. Our objective is to enable an exceptional ecosystem, so developers can select the desired combination of collaboration services that delivers a top-notch user experience.

The Opportunity

You study at a university and are looking for a creative and dynamic work environment where you can contribute to delivering real customer value? We have a great opportunity for you!

Be part of the Collaboration services team, based in Hamburg, Germany. These Collaboration services are used for multiple Adobe SaaS offerings like Adobe Express as well as in desktop products. The services are operated across multiple regions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

As a member of a multi-functional development team you will help develop, deploy, and own these dockerized Java microservices. "Build it and own it!".

You should be self-directed and team-oriented. Your primary team is based in Hamburg, but you will also collaborate with other development teams in the USA and India. Your colleagues are experienced and provide a phenomenal learning environment to jumpstart your career as a software engineer.

What you'll Do

  • Together with your multi-functional team you fully own the services you work on.
  • We improve the platform architecture to integrate current and future standard processes.
  • You contribute to a high standard of quality, robustness, and security in code and the development process.
  • Together, we follow current and secure development principles, and we promote a culture of continuous learning.
  • In a joint effort with your fellow team members, you work with Adobe internal client teams that integrate with the Content Platform.

What you need to succeed

Proficient programming skills are required. We primarily use Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and C++, but if you have experience with other languages and are open to acquiring new skills, we can collaborate on a learning journey.

Additionally needed are

  • Dedication to teamwork, self-organization, and continuous improvement
  • Proficiency in German and English
