We are looking for enthusiastic engineers for a Software Developer in Test position to join the Trimble Connect Engineering team in Chennai, India. This position is a permanent and full-time position located in Trimble Information Technologies India private Limited in Chennai, India.

Your responsibilities will include:

Being part in defining, building and maintaining globally used cloud solutions

Active participation in team responsibilities and process development in globally distributed organization
Required Skills and Experience
-
Primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products, combining the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering.

Work with Software Development Engineers and Quality Assurance Engineers to understand project features, review technical designs, and implement automated test tools that help deliver quality features with efficiency
-
Experience testing WebServices, REST APIs, multi-tier web components
-
Perform functional, design, regression, accessibility, and performance testing
-
Identify, isolate, regress and communicate issues/defects with detailed reproduction steps
-
Analyze test logs; create test reports, and coordinate with stakeholders
-
Ability to respond to support-reported bugs to obtain relevant information in order to reproduce the reported issues.

Experience with using frameworks such as Pytest, TestNG, Selenium, Postman
Desirable Skills and Experience
-
2+ years of QA testing experience, including working on automation frameworks
-
Hands on experience using tools like JIRA, Jenkins.

Strong coding skills using Python and/or C#
-
Demonstrable proficiency with a wide variety of Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as S3, EC2, and IAM

Security testing and performance experience is a plus

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Ability to work in a team environment, work with and motivate others
