The Role

Overview

Fusion is searching for a Software Developer Intern to join our Application Development team. In this role, you will work with an experienced development team delivering updates to products that serve Fusion Medical Staffing. You will focus on front-end, back end, or full stack development. Working closely with product managers and UX designers. You will also participate in program-specific development experiences and a capstone project designed to help prepare you for your future career.

Work Environment

Work environment defined:

Local - position has in-office requirements Monday through Friday and would require employee to live in the local area.

Position Type/Expected hours worked:

  • Internship dates: May 20th – August 16th, 2024
  • This is a temporary position.
  • Must work at least 25 hours/week, but no more than 40 hours/week.
  • Required to work in office every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday morning to participate in program-specific development sessions.
  • Required to attend and participate in Capstone Project presentation on August 15th, 2024
  • The work week is Monday through Friday, with specific work hours approved by Division Manager.
  • Computer & software is provided.
  • Reliable internet is required (not provided).

  • Employee is regularly required to talk and hear
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, headset, calculator, copier, and printer
  • The person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to access files, computer equipment, copier, etc.

Position Type/Expected hours worked

This is a full-time position, and standard hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CST (start/end times with manager discretion). Regular and punctual attendance is required

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Actively enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic knowledge of front-end development, JavaScript, HTML/CSS
  • Basic knowledge of back-end development, cloud infrastructures, SQL, C#, .NET
  • Availability to participate in in-office planning and design sessions at our corporate office

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Preference is given to Junior and Senior standing
  • Coursework and/or experience in React.
