About the Role

The Glassdoor Test Engineering team is looking for a passionate and driven Software Engineer in Test Intern to solve problems and build optimized test automation solutions. This role offers the chance to get hands-on experience with the latest iOS & Android development and testing technologies and work alongside seasoned engineers. If you have a basic understanding of mobile application development and testing along with a passion for technology and collaboration, we want to hear from you!

Hourly Pay Rate

  • $40/hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to solve complex problems through creative test solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team to discover new ways of creating and implementing tests by identifying gaps.
  • Write code, complete programming projects, and perform testing on software.
  • Lead by example and keep enthusiasm high in tight-deadline situations
  • Promote test quality and evangelize automation standard methodologies.

What You’ll Bring 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • Must have at least one additional quarter/semester of school remaining following the completion of the internship.
  • One year of programming experience in Java, Python or other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with Selenium, Appium and JUnit,PyTest/TestNG is a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux, SQL, performance tools, bash scripts and version control systems such as git are also a plus

Glassdoor Internship Program 

  • 12 week virtual program where you'll manage projects and tasks, participate in engaging virtual events, and learn valuable skills! 
  • Opportunity for in-person connections with your fellow interns! 
  • Full-time program (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week)
  • Fully remote: work almost anywhere within the United States. 
  • Fully paid program and paid company holidays. 
  • Two cohort dates: 
    • May 27 - August 15, 2025
    • June 2 - August 22, 2025
