The Communications Specialist will support day-to-day social media and PR activities. You’ll work closely with Social and PR leads to execute media outreach, produce social content, and track results that drive brand awareness and business objectives.
Role Responsibilities
Social Media

Help drive growth of our social media presence on multiple platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

Produce social media content in response to events, webinars and blogs including creating/incorporating graphics, photo and video content.

Maintain a unified brand voice across various social media channels.

Actively engage in the monitoring and listening of social media platforms

Assist in the development and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

Analyze key performance indicators to provide communications insights, informing the team of trends and best practices.
Public Relations

Draft press materials including media pitches, press releases, and briefing documents

Research and build targeted media lists, and track editorial calendars and press opportunities

Monitor industry trends and flag timely media opportunities; manage any incoming media queries or requests during US off-hours

Utilize media monitoring tools to track and analyze media coverage and sentiment

Support our PR Lead and assist with coordination and activation of Qualys global PR agencies; take a hands-on role in overseeing media activities of India PR agency

Support the communications team on corporate-wide initiatives, including quarterly reporting, activity tracking, and speaking and awards program

Maintain task management and project status updates on Asana
Requirements:

3-5 years of experience practicing social media for a technology company with cybersecurity experience preferred.

At least 1 year of PR experience preferred, but not required

Passion for social media and proficiency with major social media platforms.

Understanding of social media metrics; ability to interpret the results and trends as well as take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns.

Strong copywriting and copy-editing skills including AP writing style.

Top-notch oral and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented approach with ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in Sprout Social and Canva

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Curiosity and willingness to learn new skills; able to collaborate cross-culturally with global colleagues and teams
