Your Opportunity: Jon Michael Design, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for a Social Media Specialist to support the JMD social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook etc.) to help drive engagement and new business for the agency. Overall building an interactive following on our all social channels for JMD to stand out as a leader in the design industry.
The Social Media Specialist's job focuses on increasing the JMD agency awareness through the effective use of social media outlets.
Shift:
- In office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays; remote Mondays & Fridays
- Office Hours: 10 am - 6 pm
Your Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
- Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
- Prepares and develops social media content to support and enhance the organization's brand and operations.
- Working with the internal JMD Design team to develop social media calendar and cadence of posts
- Monitors, posts to, and analyzes social media channels to build a community of followers and enhance interaction.
- Interacting with followers and other stakeholders/brands via the company’s social media accounts
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field including latest social media trends.
- Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
- Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
- Help support the team in learning best practices to build a substantial social media presence.
You Must Have:
- 3+ years of social media experience with 1+ years of strategic management
- Experience working in-house with a design agency, beauty, or fashion company
- Experience overseeing social channel communications on: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- Experience planning comprehensive social calendars for cadence of posting with relevant design trends and celebrity activity based on client accounts
- Experience following current fashion and beauty trends to stay on the pulse of the industry with relevant content
- Experience building social content ideation to support the design team on post to work on for content deliverables
- Knowledge of the best practices for generating more overall engagement on social media to gain a bigger audience in the beauty, fashion, design industry and beyond
We Would Also Prefer:
- Bachelor’s degree in fine arts or social media marketing
- Portfolio of work with corresponding results
The anticipated hourly range for this position is $32-36. The actual base offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employee.
