Job Description

  • Manage, develop and innovate all existing and upcoming owned social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

  • Develop an aligned brand position and content roadmap with insight and approval from the VP of Digital Marketing.

  • Develop, plan & execute weekly social calendar across all organic social channels - including support for new launches & promotions 

  • Work with VP of Digital Marketing to develop our Youtube strategy

  • Create, source, script and post content daily

  • Possess strong content ideation skills and the ability to work resourcefully to capture and create assets for social media

  • Monitor and engage users, including managing comments, engaging with followers, and sharing and promoting UGC across all platforms

  • Be a subject matter expert on social media trends, proactively guiding content creation and strategy 

  • Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze the performance of social media platforms and generate actionable insights to inform decisions

  • Grow The Class’ social media presence and engagement 

  • Support brand partnerships and influencer initiatives

  • Work with Marketing, Studio, Digital Product, Partnerships, and Creative stakeholders to develop thoughtful, compelling content that furthers brand initiatives and aligns with The Class’ brand identity

  • Write compelling social media copy

  • Work with the to learn and hone the brand voice, tone and key messaging for compelling delivery and brand consistency

Qualifications

  • A brand-centric storyteller obsessed with writing and community building 

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator with stellar presentation skills

  • Creative, scrappy and resourceful

  • A self-starter who is entrenched in social media and motivated to grow a brand 

  • A strategic thinker with a marketing mindset

  • An innate sense of digital, community, and authentic brand messaging 

  • A roll-up-your-sleeves-and-jump-in approach to solving problems in a fast-paced, growth-minded environment

  • Attention to detail & ability to multitask

  • Ability to work from the NYC office 3 days a week 

What you’ve done:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related social media experience, with an emphasis on short-form reel content. 

  • A portfolio of work that demonstrates your content creation skills. Applications without portfolio links will not be considered.

  • Experience with short-form reel content required.

  • Experience growing Youtube accounts (either professional or personal) is preferred, but not required.

  • Proven ability to uncover and implement emerging trends

  • Worked in high-level content strategy and hands-on production. Experience on camera preferred.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, founder-led, start-up environments 

  • Video production experience—you’re intimately familiar with in-app creator tools across social platforms and know your way around a video editing software like Adobe Premiere

Salary 

The approximate salary range for this position is $75,000–$105,000. The exact salary offered may vary based on job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education and training, business needs, and market demands.

What We Do

The Class is a cathartic workout experience that guides you to strengthen the body and notice the mind to restore balance.

The practice is mat-based and music-driven. We repeat one move per song to create sensation in the body and observe our thoughts. In any given Class students can expect guided instruction and a carefully curated playlist to lead them through exercises they are familiar with such as—squats, jumping jacks, and burpees.

The result is a mental clearing and emotional release. Through continued practice students develop tools to empower their life, along with an incredibly strong, resilient, body.
