Monday - Friday, Day shift, 06:30 - 14:30
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
The Shift Lead person acts as the main contact Distribution Department. Areas of responsibility include: maintenance, quality, safety and morale. They perform the duties of MOTC during shipping hours and MO duties all other times. Major job function is cycle counting and inventory discrepancy resolution. The shift lead works from brief verbal instructions and/or simple written instructions, depending on the situation. Math and computer skills are requirements for the job. The Shift Lead person coordinates the work of others to ensure the smooth operation of the Distribution Department. This includes working with Supervisors/Line Technician from other departments and quality as needed to coordinate line pulling, hold processing, ect. The Shift Lead person must have the skill to adjust all processes within the department. This work is performed under minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
Tasker responsibility. Cycle count products and inventory variance resolution. Prepare product and service reports by collecting and analyzing data Resolve product and service issues Work with department supervisors in the troubleshooting of problems in order to maintain a smooth workflow. Assist LTO's with problems. Maintain the RF equipment on all fork trucks. Obtain fork truck certifications Perform functions of an LTO Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor/Management
Safety:
Follow all OSHA and safety procedures. Need to be constantly aware of forklift traffic.
Equipment Operated:
Computer and calculator. Hand truck, forklift, and mechanical docks.
Lifting Requirements:
Moderate - Must be able to lift 0-50lbs.
Working Conditions:
Good - Noise levels are below 90 decibels so no hearing protection is required. The cooler and dock temperatures vary from 40 - 55 degrees F. The office is maintained at a comfortable temperature.
Training:
The Distribution Shift Lead training is one month and should be competent after one year.
