Job Description

About Poka 

Poka is an innovative app designed for manufacturing companies that empower frontline workers to learn continuously, solve problems and collaborate in support of continuous improvement. Imagine a combination of Facebook and YouTube designed for factory workers. Say goodbye to paper, make way for tablets! 

Poka has become a catalyst for digital transformation and manufacturing leaders such as Nestlé, Bosch, Kraft and Danone trust us with their transition to Industry 4.0. 

Poka was acquired by IFS on June 20, 2023.

User Interface Design: 

• Collaborate with Product Designers to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces. 
• Implement and maintain design system components, ensuring consistency across the application. 

Answering Design-Oriented Questions: 

• Provide support to fellow front-end and iOS developers by answering design-oriented questions. 
• Share insights and guidance on design principles, best practices, and UI/UX considerations. 

Testing and Validation: 

• Conduct comprehensive testing of the UI to identify and rectify bugs, issues, and deviations from our design standards. Implement a visual validation process to certify that a project is completed in adherence to our established design standards, ensuring a consistent and polished user experience. 

Communication and Collaboration: 

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, product designers, and other engineers. 
• Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to team members and stakeholders. 

Documentation: 

• Create comprehensive documentation for design specifications and requirements to facilitate a smooth design handoff process. Detailing UI architecture, guidelines, interactions and key elements to ensure effective knowledge transfer and helps maintain clarity throughout the development lifecycle. 

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent from a related discipline 
• Minimum 2 years in a similar capacity 
• Experience in Figma 
• Strong understanding of usability and user-centered design practices. 
• A ‘generalist’ mindset with the ability to work across design disciplines. 
• Passion for emerging technologies and hunger to innovate. 
• Willingness to get out and learn from users, customers, and stakeholders. 
• Ability to communicate the process with stakeholders and other interested parties. 
• Willingness to work collaboratively with a cross-functional teams. 

A plus if, 

• Experience with best-of-breed or enterprise-wide business applications 
• Knowledge in Html and CSS
