About this Position
Position assists the Assistant Treasurer with the management, monitoring, and compliance of Primerica's Investment Portfolio. The position will primarily focus on testing and documenting investment portfolio controls, performing monthly and quarterly investment portfolio analysis and reporting, and assisting with other Treasury-related accounting, control, and analysis.
This is a hybrid position.
The estimated salary range for this role is: 80K-90K
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Support Assistant Treasurer by understanding Investment market dynamics and their impact on our Investment portfolio. Assist as needed with budgeting and forecasting Net Investment Income and investment related expenses. Provide analysis and reporting for the invested asset portfolio. Compute and analyze Net Investment Income, Purchase Yields, and/or other investment related balances and ratios. Support on portfolio disclosures/discussion for 10Q/10K/Earnings Releases/Financial Supplement, etc.
- Assist Assistant Treasurer with compiling Investment portfolio detail and other requests for management, shareholders, auditors, and rating agencies. Prepare quarterly Financial Supplement detail, assist with regulatory filings including 10K/Q Footnotes, and annual rating agency submissions.
- Support Assistant Treasurer with investment control process documents ("Narratives") to reflect current investment procedures and significant risk mitigating controls. Execute, test, and document applicable SOX Controls. Solicit and review SOC 1 reports of Outside Service Providers for potential control deficiencies and 'qualified' reports. Obtain and confirm Pricing Methodology support for primary and secondary Investment Pricing providers at least semi-annually. Identify and resolve control weaknesses found within Investments and Treasury.
- As needed, provide assistance to the AVP Cash Management with analytical/project work or cash management coverage.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related discipline
- 4-5 years with Corporate Finance, GAAP Financial Reporting, or Fixed Income investments
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel proficiency. MS Excel responsibilities would include financial data extraction from reporting system, pivot table creation, and on-time delivery of various financial schedules.
- MS Word based memorandums are routinely crafted and submitted to upper management and auditors.
- Excellent organizational skills, effective time-management, and attention to detail are critical to success.
- Excellent independent, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills but understands when to escalate.
- FINRA Series 6 preferred but not required
