The Digital & Process Performance function serves as the transformation engine driving the upgrade of our digital core. By digitalizing our operations, we aim to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, deliver superior customer experiences, mitigate risks, and ensure business continuity—all while paving the way for next-generation innovations.

The Digital & Process Performance (DPP) function is organized into key teams to drive transformation effectively. Processes & Applications focuses on modernizing core business processes, while Data & Analytics enables data-driven decision-making. IT Operations ensures reliable and secure IT infrastructure, and the Transformation Management Office (TMO) drives Huhtamaki wide business transformation initiatives with strategic goals.

We are now looking for a talented Senior Transformation Project Manager to work in our Transformation Management Office. This role reports to our VP, Transformation Management Office. As part of the TMO you will be at the forefront of shaping our future success, working with key strategic programs and projects across Huhtamaki together with senior leaders from our business segments and functions globally. Responsibilities and key activities:
 

Project Management:

  • Develop project charter and management plan
  • Define and validate project scope
  • Develop and control project schedule
  • Estimate budget and control cost
  • Manage and control quality
  • Acquire resources and manage team
  • Plan and manage project change management and communication
  • Identify and mitigate risks
  • Conduct and control procurements
  • Identify stakeholders and manage stakeholder engagement
     

Project Leadership:

  • Take project leadership role and ensure high team performance
  • Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise in the project and conflicts in the team
  • Project evaluation and conduct retrospective
     

Reporting and documentation:

  • Prepare project steering group presentations, documentation and meetings
  • Maintain all documentation in project repository
     

Implementing standard tools and methodology:

  • Plan and manage the project guided by the Huhtamaki project methodology
  • Implement standard project tools based on PMI standards in the projects

The TMO is working as an agile team, and key responsibilities for specific areas will be allocated among the team members based on experience, skills, and interest. We are looking for an individual who is interested in several transformation project areas and can adapt to our project needs in this interesting transformation journey.

Requirements for the role:

  • Min. 8 years project management experience from an international environment
  • Expert-level knowledge of project and change management, methodologies, techniques, processes (e.g., Project and Portfolio Management Methodology - PPM).
  • PMP, PRINCE2 Foundation or Practitioner, or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience in running large complex, multi-dimensional and transformative projects. 
  • Ability to apply and enhance Huhtamaki project management methodology for the project (e.g., waterfall vs agile)
  • Budget, cost, and profitability management skills.
  • High-level of communication, interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain stakeholder management and relationships
  • Master’s degree, from a relevant field required
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken), other languages are seen as a plus
