Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Test Manager to lead the testing strategy and execution for our Finance transformation program of work. This role involves creating test strategies, test plans, managing the testing lifecycle, ensuring quality assurance, and stakeholder reporting.
You will work together with the Program & Project Managers, business system owners, vendor delivery teams, and TAL IT teams for all testing related planning & execution enabling high quality and timely delivery. This position is supporting the Finance Business Transformation program stream.
Core Senior Test Manager responsibilities include:
- Design and implement test strategies for transformation program of work, including functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Create detailed test plans outlining scope, resources, timelines, and deliverables, aligning them with project milestones and business requirements.
- Oversee the development of test cases and scenarios based on functional specifications and business processes.
- Manage the execution of test cases, track & triage defects, and ensure timely resolution of issues while providing regular status updates to program and business stakeholders.
- Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for testing processes, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead Test Environment planning and management across multiple integration applications and projects & BAU break-fix testing.
- Work closely with cross-functional business teams, vendor delivery teams, & IT teams including business process SMEs, business analysts, developers, and project managers, to ensure a cohesive approach to test management & execution.
- Prepare detailed testing documentation and reports, including test results, defect logs, closure reports, and lessons learned, for stakeholder review.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience leading test activities in complex transformation programs.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices with experience in testing tools – Zephyr, Jira, HPQC and automated testing.
- Skilled in managing test execution with business teams sharing resources between project and BAU activities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse
- teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse and mitigate risks, manage conflicts, and solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible, adaptive and resilient in a fast-changing environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and deliver to contractual commitments
- Experience in Insurance and Financial Services industry is desirable
