We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team and support the documentation suite for a cutting-edge technological solution—Acronis Cyber Cloud.
Acronis creates tools that empower enterprises to become cyber fit, protecting and managing their growing data in physical, virtual, and cloud environments. Our products utilize advanced technologies and are trusted by users in 145 countries, available in 25 languages.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop online help and user/administrator guides in English from scratch, aligning with the software development process.
- Create additional documentation for enterprise-level software products, including best practice guides and hardware configuration guides.
- Review GUI text strings as part of the software development cycle.
- Mentor junior team members to improve their technical writing skills.
- Contribute to and uphold company standards for technical documentation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of experience in technical writing.
- Strong attention to detail and consistency.
- Solid understanding of the software development life cycle and the role of technical writers within it.
- Familiarity with Jira or other issue tracking systems.
- Experience with source control systems.
- Proficiency with MadCap Flare (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of information design and structured authoring (preferred).
- Familiarity with technologies such as Linux, MS SQL, MS Exchange, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, RHEV, Citrix) is a plus
- Bachelor degree preferably in engineering, IT, or linguistics
- Proficiency in English at an upper-intermediate level or higher.
