We have an exciting opportunity at nbn for a Senior Technical Business Analyst reporting to the Executive Manager Data Standards and Business Analysis.
A bit about your role
nbn has the vision to leverage the power of data and analytics to develop industry leading data and AI capability to enable it to leverage the value of its data both to enhance its mission to lift the digital capability of Australia through improving the availability, reliability and resilience of its own networks and services, but also to add value, longer-term, by pursuing appropriate data analytics value creation for third parties.
The role of Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for answering business questions with data, delivering accurate, consistent and on time analysis and insights, supporting the business to solve analytics problems with a key focus on the rapidity changing regulatory landscape. This role will collaborate closely with peers to develop strong relationships with business stakeholders to support the fast-paced nature of nbn’ s business model to deliver strategic data and reporting solutions in a timely and consistent way to support critical business needs and initiatives.
A bit about you
Having a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and experienced in technical business analysis, data engineering, and project management will make you successful in this role. Skilled in Microsoft applications (SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Co-Pilot), data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI), and proficient in SQL and Python. Your expertise includes Lean, Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
You will excel in communication, influencing, and negotiation, with experience managing all levels of staff. Having a solid understanding of program management and have led cross-functional teams on large projects you demonstrate change agility, strong organizational skills, and leadership in complex environments.
