About This Role:

Reporting to the senior manager of tax, the Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization’s tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes. This role will provide support for the preparation of Forrester’s domestic tax compliance and global tax accounting using a cosourced model with external advisors. This role also includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax regulations, preparing detailed tax analyses, and supporting key business decisions with strategic tax insights. This position requires a highly motivated, service-focused individual who can work independently and within Forrester’s various business and functional departments.

Job Description:

  • Prepare timely and accurate domestic income tax work papers, tax returns, estimated tax payments, and non-income-tax compliance.
  • Assist in the preparation of the quarterly and annual global income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. This includes analysis of book to tax differences, uncertain tax positions, footnote reporting, deferred tax adjustments, return to provision true-ups, etc.
  • Contribute to international tax compliance efforts, including US Forms 5471, foreign entity compliance, foreign dividends, and subsidiary earnings and profits.
  • Assist with analysis to support global initiatives such as effective tax rate planning, acquisition due diligence, and the impact of proposed legislation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external advisors to support the preparation of the domestic and international tax compliance.
  • Maintain tax accounts, including quarterly reconciliations.
  • Maintain tax basis of fixed asset records.
  • Provide support for federal, state, and local income tax audits.
  • Maintain proper internal controls related to tax for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Contribute to various ad hoc tax projects, including international tax assignments and process improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Two to five years of related work experience.
  • Public accounting experience (a plus, but not required).
  • CPA and/or MST (a plus, but not required).
  • Knowledge of emerging tax technologies and automation tools.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and solid business experience.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly Excel.
  • Initiative, confident, intelligent, and energetic.

Please note that the base salary range indicated here is inclusive of all applicable US geographies listed in this requisition. This salary range is based upon the position as described in the job listing. The offered compensation may vary within this range and is dependent upon the successful candidate’s primary work location, experience, training, education, and credentials.
Base salary range: $68,000 - $123,000
