As a Senior Technical Recruiter at Zendesk, you'll have the outstanding opportunity to craft the future of our engineering and IT teams. What you will be doing every day:

  • Talent Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract and hire top technical talent across various fields, including software development, data science, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.

  • Sourcing Candidates: Apply a variety of sourcing techniques, including job boards, social media, networking, and direct outreach, to identify and engage potential candidates.

  • Screening and Interviewing: Perform detailed screening and interviews to assess candidates' technical skills, cultural fit, and overall suitability for the organization.

  • Collaborative Support: Work closely with hiring managers to comprehend their unique requirements and offer mentorship on industry trends, candidate availability, and market insights.

  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact through onboarding.

  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics to measure the efficiency of hiring strategies and offer data-driven suggestions for improvements.

  • Employer Branding: Promote Zendesk as an employer of choice in the tech community, participating in job fairs, networking events, and online forums.

  • Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to junior recruiters, sharing standard methodologies and encouraging a collaborative team environment.

Who are we looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting, preferably in the IT or engineering sectors.

  • Strong understanding of technical roles and the skills required for various positions within the tech industry.

  • Proven track record of successfully filling challenging technical positions.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.

  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to bring to bear data to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.

  • This is a hybrid role, but you are required to be based in Pune

Please note that Zendesk can only hire candidates who are physically located and plan to work from Karnataka or Maharashtra. Please refer to the location posted on the requisition for where this role is based.

Hybrid: In this role, our hybrid experience is designed at the team level to give you a rich onsite experience packed with connection, collaboration, learning, and celebration - while also giving you flexibility to work remotely for part of the week. This role must attend our local office for part of the week. The specific in-office schedule is to be determined by the hiring manager.
