About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems Operations Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Production / Application support teams (including troubleshooting application issues / installations / deployments / configurations)
- Change/problem/incident management experience
- For Windows environments – experience in IIS, SQL Server Administration, Windows administration, Windows PowerShell scripting
- For Linux environments - experience in Unix Scripting
- Experience with scheduling tools such as Autosys
- Experience with app or web servers such as Apache, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, JBOSS (and/or combination of these)
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL (and/or combination of these)
- DevOps tools/experience - Github, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Ansible
- Experience with SRE, Application, System and Database monitoring tools such as ITRS, AppDynamics, Splunk, Netcool, Elk and Basemon
- SSL Certificate management experience
- Knowledge of ticket tracking tools such as ServiceNow, Jira
- Experience with Agile / Kanban methodologies
- ITRS - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup)
- AppDynamics – (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup)
- SPLUNK - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup)
- Grafana - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup)
- Service Now
- Autosys/Control-M - (Mandatorily should have used it, Preferable if candidate has worked on its setup)
- JIRA/Confluence
Job Expectations:
- Basic Understanding of Windows and Unix Server Operating systems.
- Understanding of Client-Server Technologies
- Understanding of Network components.
- Should have good communication skills. (English both Verbal and Written)
- Have understanding of Incident Management
- Should be able to assess the impact of Incident
- Classify the Incident severity
- Run Incident bridge
- Engage appropriate support teams and work collaboratively towards resolution
- Manage communications to stakeholders and senior management
- Manage Root Cause analysis.
- Change Management
- Problem Management.
- Event Management
- Knowledge management
- Create and maintain Run books
- Review and Tag Knowledge articles with alerting/monitoring systems.
- Manage application build and configuration documentation.
- Maintain KB in ServiceNow and Confluence
- For experienced resources look if they have understanding of L1/2/3 kind of setup.
- Flexible to work in shifts.
- Understands importance of BCP (Business Continuity Plan) and have done DR exercises and be able to write and maintain DR Plans.
