This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

High Performance Computing, AI and Labs is a critical element of HPE. What you’ll do:
- Strong background in software design and development.
- Collaborate on translating business requirements into actionable plans.
- Address operational challenges, automate processes, and iterate for efficiency.
- Contribute to building and maintaining scalable HPC manageability software solutions and tools.
- Hands on resolving HPC cluster hardware and software issues.
- Institute validated practices for reliability, remediations and troubleshooting.
- Lead cross-organizational projects from inception to completion.
- Mentor and train junior engineers for professional development.
What you need to bring:
- 8+ years of overall development experience with strong experience in High Performance Computing.
- A Bachelors or Masters Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
- Strong programming skills any of the languages: Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Strong expertise in Linux.
- Good exposure to Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience handling, scaling and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience in deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting new and existing services, platforms, and application stacks.
- Working knowledge of HPC schedulers and distributed/parallel file systems, underlying hardware platforms, and the HPC development process.
- Experience with GNU Make, CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Solid communication skills, demonstrating the ability to comprehend and articulate technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Serve as a subject matter expert in core team functions.
Desirable skillsets
- Exposure to high density scalable servers and HPC high speed interconnects
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies and relevant tools
