One of our top clients is looking to add a Senior Staff Accountant to their team!
The Senior Staff Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting functions for a luxury retail company. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards, and supports management in decision-making. The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with the finance team to maintain the integrity of the company’s financial information and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the daily tasks of the accounting department, including daily deposits and bank reconciliations
- Assist with Accounts Payable function ensuring the accuracy of coding
- Liaison with store teams for cash handling, chargebacks, and receiving history
- Responsible for month-end close tasks and general ledger maintenance
- Serve as the expense management administrator and prepare associated reimbursements
- Analyze and prepare sales tax filings and payments through Avalara
- Prepare monthly reconciliations, including inventory and related adjustments
- Assist with providing documentation for Year End Audit and review requests
Requirements
- BS in Accounting
- 3+ years or more of related experience required
