What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Preparation and leading of internal QM events and process workshops.
- Develop and implement the Quality department’s processes, standards, and tools, aligned with the overall company processes, goals, and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement and Product Management etc.) to ensure that the quality processes and standards meet customer needs and market requirements
- Ensure Quality processes are seamlessly integrated into the overall company end-to-end (E2E) process architecture
- Represent the Quality department as process manager in the company wide E2E process development initiatives
- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, standards, and tools
- Examination of the impact of a process on the entire QM system (QM system conformity check)
- Support the development of the Scout Motors Quality Management System
- Drive process excellence throughout the Scout Motors plant
- Perform audits other duties as required
- Drive the timely implementation of the defined measures out of the audits and check their effectiveness.
- Planning and support of internal scheduled and event-oriented system audits
- Support the development and alignment of internal and external documentation by assisting departments in defining clear, complete, and consistent operating procedures and instructions, ensuring proper filing and updates, and maintaining coherence with Corporate Identity Policy
- Ensures documents are reviewed periodically for appropriateness and suitability and notifies document owners of need to review documents
- Support the formal definition of internal processes
- Co-Lead cross-functional group to continuously improve business processes and drive process compliance
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina.
- The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- We are looking for a process minded, dynamic, strategic thinker to partner with Scout team across the board to drive impact on a strong and efficient QMS.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience and proficiency in process improvement and design, applying rigorous critical thinking to breakdown complex processes to identify improvement opportunities
- Very good technical understanding and sound specialist knowledge of vehicle production (OEM experience preferred).
- Extensive knowledge in organization development, process management, and process design methods
- Sound knowledge of Quality processes and methods and their practical use
- Ability to identify tasks, develop methodologies and plans; execute with minimal supervision and own assignments to ensure the project success
- Excellent problem-solver with a strong quality and customer-focused mindset
- Demonstrate high attention to detail
- Meeting challenges from multiple sources, proven ability to create order out of complexity in greenfield environment, glide path to streamlined and efficient processes
- Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and writing – across hierarchy and functional levels (i.e. Director and Vice President Level)
- Working knowledge of productivity tools, including Microsoft Office products
- Experience with AI tools (such as AssurX, PowerBI Dashboards, etc.) as an asset
- Profound knowledge of process design tools (Visio, Stages, etc.)
- Lean manufacturing experience incl. profound knowledge of QM core tools required including 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Standard
- Sound knowledge of Quality processes and methods and their practical use
- Excellent project management skill
- Six Sigma Master Black Belt or Black Belt as an asset

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $130,000.00 - $140,000.00
