Senior Sourcing Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize costs and enhance procurement strategies. This Role will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to drive sourcing strategies that align with business goals while ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Drive sourcing processes to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers while introducing innovative sourcing solutions.
- Partner with product and development team to select and onboard suppliers early in the product development cycle.
- Develop and maintain costing bills of materials and ensure accurate reporting of product costs, including tooling and unit costs.
- Manage data in PLM systems, including pricing, approvals, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve bottlenecks, negotiate tooling investments, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Align supplier capabilities and capacities with SBC’s needs in partnership with product and supply chain teams.
- Partner with the legal team on counterfeit supplier investigations to protect intellectual property.
WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN
- 5 years of experience in sourcing and supplier management, preferably in cycling or related industries.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (forging, CNC, casting, molding) and materials (steel, alloys, composites).
- Knowledge of bicycle assembly processes, from procurement to logistics, is a plus.
- Advanced negotiation skills and a strong technical understanding of engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail, even under tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a keen business sense.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with Oracle, Agile, Atlassian Confluence, and JIRA is a plus.
- Sourcing experience in the electronics industry a plus
- Ability to travel 10-15%
