Role Title: Director, Footwear Product Engineering Lead Taiwan

Who you will work with:

Reporting directly to Sr Director, Footwear Product Engineering Lead, you'll act as strategic member of Global Product Engineering team, Fields of Play, as well as a member of the Asia product creation team. You will lead and manage the in-country product engineering team. You will partner with your counterparts in NXT, manufacturing and other functional leaders in the PMO, and work with partner PCCs.

Who we are looking for:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

2 additional years' experience in lieu of a degree

8+ years' relevant work experience

Technical (trade) footwear engineering training

Product engineering, chemical, tooling, development, commercialization, or manufacturing experience is preferred

Familiarity with material performance specifications used in sport specific footwear

Knowledge of machinery used in the manufacturing of footwear and expected results

Experience in implementing quality programs and processes is a plus

Understanding of product planning, forecasting and scheduling is desired

Deep knowledge of footwear manufacturing technologies and equipment, tooling and materials is desired

Proven leadership experience

overseas production / development experience required

What you will be working on:

Product excellence: You are responsible for driving engineering functional and FOP objectives, ensuring that the team can develop and produce product at optimal performance, quality, and efficiency. You will be required to partner with commercialization partners in manufacturing throughout the product creation process to create, drive, and achieve product goals & expectations. You'll collaborate and liaise with FOP & Functional Engineering leadership globally, to ensure product achieves product excellence standard and is “manufacturing ready' at Ready for Commercialization. You'll monitor and manage adherence to engineering best practices and standards, and act as a driver of global engineering best practice.

Strategy: You'll effectively oversee and drive engineering agenda, working through your Nike PMO leadership, engineering team members, and PCC/factory partners.

Team and talent: You will lead and influence talent strategy of your direct report team, responsible for hiring, performance management and capability development of your team.

Innovation: You will collaborate with NXT to launch and proliferate innovation technologies. you will also collaborate with the Global Modernization teams to influence and support the implementation of new Manufacturing methods, processes, machinery and standards.
