Senior Solutions Architect

• Fixed Term Contract until March 2026

This is a unique opportunity for you to join Reserve Bank of Australia. You will support the Essential Eight Maturity Uplift Project which is uplifting the Customer Identity Access Management capability.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solution Architect to join our team on a 1-year fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will have experience with Digital Identity Access Management and will play a key role in achieving Essential Eight Maturity Model 3 and enhancing Customer Identity Access Management for B2B clients.

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect who:

• Develop solutions architectures, high-level designs, and impact assessments for bank initiatives and systems.

• Take ownership of architecture deliverables for Conceptual and Solution Architecture documents, ensuring agreement and endorsement from all stakeholders.

• Collaborate with analysts to define business requirements and work with subject matter experts to create high-level designs that align with enterprise architecture, patterns, and practices. This may occasionally include detailed design work.

• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to scope initiatives, ensuring alignment with architectural objectives and principles.

• Experienced in producing Solution Architectures for complex solutions, including infrastructure, cloud, on-premises, and hybrid solutions.

• Capable of identifying and documenting dependencies with other projects and systems.

• Drive the Architectural Certification process to completion for key project deliverables.

• Proven background in software/infrastructure automation and a solid understanding of the tools used.

Technical Capabilities

• Extensive experience with Customer Identity and Access Management (eg Entra ID, Okta, Auth0) and integration of CIAM providers with applications

• Extensive experience in designing common infrastructure systems (e.g., Entra ID, Azure services, Office 365 Email services)

• Experience working in agile and hybrid project environment.

• Understanding architecture design that enhances controls to achieve Essential Eight Maturity Model 3.

• Understanding of safeguard cryptographic keys lifecycle management tool

• Knowledge in development principles, tools, and frameworks.

• Understanding of strategic and new and emerging technologies and their practical application.

• Experience in architectural disciplines across a range of complex projects and technologies.

• Proven ability to solve solution design and architecture conflicts.

• Strong interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence and persuade peers and senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• TOGAF is preferred.

• Tertiary qualifications relevant to the Bank or IT industry.
